Our History

Our company began as the cellular division of Audiovox in 1984. We quickly built relationships with global manufacturing partners, allowing us to develop some of the very first cellular phones. Twenty years later, Audiovox was acquired by UTStarcom. Although our name changed, our relationships around the world didn’t. We worked with our technology partners to develop, manufacture and deliver wireless devices to carriers in North and South America. In 2008, we became a privately owned, stand-alone company: PCD. Our successful business model did not change, and our existing employee base and management personnel remained in place, allowing for a seamless transition.

Many of our key executives have been with the company for over 20 years. Our experience and our long-standing relationships remain the keys to our success.
